Reflection

Image
Hey guys!! Welcome back to my blog. Today, I will be reflecting on the process of my commercial. This is important to do in order to see where I can improve next time and look back on what I have learned.      Speaking of learning, throughout this process I found that I learned a lot about editing while making my commercial. Before this, I had never used the app Cap Cut. Editing has always been a foreign thing to me but an interesting thing none the less so I am glad I got the chance to learn how to do it! First, I had to learn how to navigate the app Cap Cut. I was not sure where everything was at first, but my friend who is skilled in creating films helped me find everything I needed. First, I learned how to add pictures and videos to create a slide show as a beginning template. Then, I learned how to add transitions in between the photos and videos. This was the first step I took to add character and my own personality to my commercial. To add further personality and character

Final Commercial Blog/Finishing up

Image
Hi guys!! Welcome back to my blog:) Today I will be discussing my final changes and finishing touches for my commercial.  Let's get started...      I removed a couple photos and replaced them with videos. I did this because I realized that videos added far more emotion and were more captivating compared to still photos. I also decided not to have a different transition for each different photo or video. I feel that they made the final commercial seem all over the place, messy, and unorganized. Instead, I chose to use the transition "Inhale" in the "Movement" category in between almost all photos and videos except for the last few photos and one photo at the beginning which I used "Flash" in the "Light Effect" category. Keeping most of the transitions the same and having a couple special transitions makes the final product look more put together.      For each photo or video in my commercial, I inserted 2-3 emojis that I feel capture the feeli

Production Blog/Musical and Transitioning process

Hey guys!! Welcome back to my blog.       Today, I will be discussing the process of adding music to my commercial. As well as editing transitions into my slide show.       I have some news however, I have chosen to change my song. Previously, my song was called "Hotline Bling" by Drake. Now, I have changed it to a song by Tyler the Creator and Kali Uchis called "See you again" clean version. This choice was made because while I enjoy listening to the other song, it did not match the energy of my commercial and I feel that the new song fits it better. "Hotline Bling" also has a few explicit words that could not be included.      Once that was settled, I looked for transitions to use between my photos and videos. This process was simple. To choose a transition from each piece of media to the next you simply press the icon in between the two photos or videos and choose from a variety of different categories of transitions to insert ion your video. Production Blog/Continuing to Edit my Commercial

Hey guys! Welcome back to my blog.       In today's edition, I'll be discussing the continuation of my commercial. I have changed a few things. Now, I am including a total of twelve photos and two videos.       I told you how I ordered and inserted my first few photos in my last blog. These were the ones of me as a child, and all the photos of Key West. Except for a video of me, sitting above the water during the sunset my sister took of me. To continue my commercial process I began by inserting that video of me in Key West. Following that photo I inserted a photo of me and my sister at the beach. Next, I inserted the photo of me and my best friend, Nathalie. We were sitting together in front of the hotel we stayed at when she came to visit.       At this point, I have moved from baby photos to family (sister) photos, to trips, and now friends. to continue this trend I inserted a photo of me and a few of my friends at a birthday party. Finally, for the final section of my

Production Blog/Starting My Commercial

Hey guys! Welcome back to my blog.       I have made some changes to my plan. I now only have 11 photos and videos rather than 16. I also will only be using one song in my commercial, "Hotline Bling".    To put together my commercial, I needed to learn a few new things. First, I downloaded the app Cap Cut on my device to create my commercial. Once I determined what platform to create my commercial on, I navigated my way through the app and learned how to use it. Then, I granted the app access to the photos I wanted to include in my commercial.       Once that was done, I began to find an order to show the photos that made sense. I decided to input photos of me as a child first. Specifically, the photo of me holding a high heel to my ear. This picture matches the song "Hotline Bling" that I will overlay over my slideshow later. The lyrics say, "You used to call me on your cellphone". Then, I chose the photo of me holding my little sister on my lap in

Research and Planning Blog

Hey guys! Welcome back to my blog.     Today, I will be explaining my research and planning process for creating my commercial.       I chose about 11 photos to include in my personal commercial. There are 3 of me as a young child. This is because I feel that photos of my younger self are very representative of my energy. I included photos of myself in places that I enjoyed myself in, find beautiful, and treasure. Like Key West, my friend's houses, and at restaurants, trying new food! As well as photos of me in Brazil, when I went to visit my family. Speaking of family, I chose to include photos of myself with a few people I love. This included my little sisters, my best friends, and my grandmother who I visited in the picture that summer. I chose these photos because the people I surround myself with are a huge part of my life. They shape me into who I am. The photo with me and my friends on the couch and eating ice cream was at a birthday party that I really enjoyed. The ph

Let Me Introduce Myself!

Hi guys! Welcome to my first-ever blog!      Introductions are necessary, so let's start with those. My name is Sabrina Navarra and I am 15 years old. I was born on February 1st, 2008, but ironically I have never seen snow. Mostly because I live in South Florida, where there is really only one season year-round, with the occasional 70-degree day in December. I have never lived anywhere else though, and it feels weird to think of the possibility.       I enjoy being with my friends. Some of which I have known since pre-k, and some of which I met more recently. I enjoy going to the beach with friends and my family (quite a lot). As well as playing soccer, which is really the only sport I play. I play for a team now, and I hope to make my school team. I enjoyed reading in my childhood, and I still do, but when the school year rolls around I have to take a minor break from my personal books.     When it comes to school I do well , and I always have. I don't dislike all of scho
