Set backs, Research, and Flexibility!

Hey guys! I'm back, did you miss me :)?

This blog was going to be centered around the start of my role in my group's music video filming process. However, my group and I have run into a few problems since starting. I and Charlize, a member of my group, were supposed to begin filming this weekend. The filming schedule had to change, however, because Charlize's family came into town unexpectedly and I had to attend a Girl Scouts meeting. On top of that, our other group member, Valentina was unfortunately hospitalized this weekend. Due to her injury, she cannot film with us for a week. Because of these changes in circumstances, our schedules as individuals and as a group have changed greatly.

So what is my role in figuring out this mess? Well, I have shifted my focus to researching further about music video styles, song genres, and storylines to integrate new ideas into our production. I have also arranged with Charlize to film our separate scenes of each other and either prop our phones or have another person film our scenes together. Once Valentina is able to film, Parker will join us and all four of us will film all parts together. Consequently, the filming locations for this week must change as well. Instead of filming at Valentina's house this week, that location will be postponed to next week. The next order of business is props. Currently, the only props that come to my mind are our phones, the diaries, and pens used to write about Parker, the bouquet of flowers, and the makeup we use in scene one. I have been looking into places that sell bouquets of flowers and I am considering a proposal to my group about adding a new prop: a love letter attached to the flowers. I think this adds a personal touch to the not-so-personal male character in our music video!

Well, that's all for now guys. It was fun updating you on what has been going on...and not going on so far! I'll chat with you soon...till then!

Sincerely, Sabrina :)
