Music to my ears!

    Hi guys! What's up? I am back to tell you about what music my group has decided to use for our video. Do you remember my idea? That we could either do minimal music, with it only playing towards the end when the real action happens, and the two girls meet. Or, we could have suspenseful music throughout the film, with the music finally coming to a halt once the girls shake hands and officially meet to provide a shock factor and show that this is the climax of the story.

    After discussing with Valentina and Charlize, we wanted to meet somewhere in the middle. And we tried! We had the idea of beginning with chill, upbeat music, then fading into. darker more mysterious tune. I loved this plan personally, so I got to researching it. Unfortunately, however, I couldn't find anything online that resembled that! Neither could my groupmates. So, we scrapped that plan.

    Once I couldn't find anything, Valentina stepped up and said she could find another fit. She found some copyright-free music on YouTube that was indie rock inspired to put in the background. We discussed this choice and honestly, the song was pretty cool, and I saw her vision. So, we agreed on using it!

Even though this process had a lot of twists for what seems like something that would be so simple, I am glad it got done! Props to Valentina for following through and getting us a good song in the end. Well guys I'll see you later.

Reflection

     Hey guys!! Welcome back to my blog. Today, I will be reflecting on the process of my commercial. This is important to do in order to see where I can improve next time and look back on what I have learned.      Speaking of learning, throughout this process I found that I learned a lot about editing while making my commercial. Before this, I had never used the app Cap Cut. Editing has always been a foreign thing to me but an interesting thing none the less so I am glad I got the chance to learn how to do it! First, I had to learn how to navigate the app Cap Cut. I was not sure where everything was at first, but my friend who is skilled in creating films helped me find everything I needed.
