Hello again

 Hi guys, welcome to my first-ever A level media blog! I am excited to share my A-level media journey here with you.


    Introductions are necessary, so let's start with those. My name is Sabrina Navarra and I am 16 years old. I was born on February 1st, 2008. I live in South Florida, where there is really only one season year-round, with the occasional 70-degree day in December. I have never lived anywhere else though, and it feels weird to think of the possibility. 

Because of where I live, I enjoy many of the usual tropical area activities in my free time.

I used to play soccer more regularly, but now I stick to recreational playing with friends, and I began practicing tennis! I enjoyed reading in my childhood, and I still do, but when the school year rolls around I have to take a minor break from my personal books. I also enjoy being with my friends. Some of which I have known since pre-k, and some of which I met more recently. 

    When it comes to school I do well, and I always have. I don't dislike all of school. I enjoy learning new things that intrigue me and serve a purpose in my life. I also enjoy the social aspect of school, because school is essentially where everyone meets their best friends. What I dislike is the stress it imposes at times, but that is entirely normal. Topics related to environmental management and sustainability interest me. And while I don't know what exactly it will be yet, I do plan on pursuing a career in that field. 

    I don't have all the rest of my post-high school future mapped out either. Like what college I'll attend, or where I plan to live. And while some kids my age do know (or think they do), I trust that with time my path will unfold.

Pitch 1: A mafia boss goes undercover as an ally to avenge the death of her brother. This pitch spoke to my group as we found it to be a serious topic that seemed interesting enough to stay engaged throughout the filming process. In the past, some of our group mates have worked in projects where this has been an issue. At times where the topic at hand is "silly" some cast members find it difficult to focus entirely and stay on task. This can be due to their immaturity and lack of experience with acting. Reflection

     Hey guys!! Welcome back to my blog. Today, I will be reflecting on the process of my commercial. This is important to do in order to see where I can improve next time and look back on what I have learned.      Speaking of learning, throughout this process I found that I learned a lot about editing while making my commercial. Before this, I had never used the app Cap Cut. Editing has always been a foreign thing to me but an interesting thing none the less so I am glad I got the chance to learn how to do it! First, I had to learn how to navigate the app Cap Cut. I was not sure where everything was at first, but my friend who is skilled in creating films helped me find everything I needed. First, I learned how to add pictures and videos to create a slide show as a beginning template. Then, I learned how to add transitions in between the photos and videos.
